Last Saturday, April 7th, Cowichan Auto Repair‘s very own Elly Ruge was awarded the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce‘s coveted Black Tie Award for Customer Service. These awards honor the “best in business in the Cowichan Valley” and the contenders included some the Cowichan Valley’s most daring and successful entrepreneurs and business people.
Anyone who knows Elly, or has done business with her or Cowichan Auto Repair, knows how fitting this award is for a woman who lives and breathes customer service. For those who are yet to know Elly, or do business with Cowichan Auto Repair, they offer a host of additional free customer services including Free towing, Free use of a loaner car, on-line auto maintenance schedules and friendly follow up reminders that let you know when your vehicle is due for service. Elly also hosts regular Women and Wheels Workshops. These workshops cover everything from saving money on auto repairs, to vehicle safety and maintenance. Her workshops are Free with a donation to the local food bank and there are refreshments and a guest speaker! Most of the workshops are for the ladies, however, sometimes she hosts a workshop that is a HOT topic and opens it up to both the ladies and gents.
All in all, Elly Ruge, and Cowichan Auto Repair could not have been selected for a more fitting award then the Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce’s Back Tie Award for Customer Services.
Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce presented awards to contestants in eight categories (Customer Service, Volunteer of the Year, Green Business, Young Entrepreneur, Art in Business, Business Achievement in 1 – 10 employees, Business Achievement 11 – 19 Employees, and Business Achievement 20 or More Employees) at a black tie dinner hosted at Brentwood College School in Mill Bay. Twenty-four finalists were selected from more than 150 nominations submitted by the public.
The Black Tie Awards honour excellence and volunteerism in the Cowichan Valley Regional District. Cowichan Auto Repair wishes to extend congratulations and to thank all the nominees for their dedication to our community.
